Jordan Moreau Harold Livingston, an American novelist who wrote the screenplay for “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” in 1979, died early Thursday morning, Bobby Livingston confirmed to Variety. He was 97.“Star Trek: The Motion Picture” was Livingston’s most famous writing credit, and he also wrote for several TV shows, including “Mission: Impossible,” “The Six Million Dollar Man” and more.“Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry and sci-fi author Alan Dean Foster, who penned several “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” novels, also contributed to the story and script development alongside Livingston. The 1979 film was the first movie in the “Star Trek” franchise, and it starred the original TV series cast members, including William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, George Takei, Majel Barrett, Walter Koenig, Nichelle Nichols, Persis Khambatta and Stephen Collins.

Dreamcatcher have officially announced the North American stops for their upcoming ‘Apocalypse: Save Us’ world tour.Earlier today (April 28), the K-pop girl group released a poster containing details for their upcoming world tour, which is set to begin with its North American leg. Kicking off in New York in late June this year, Dreamcatcher will bring the ‘Apocalypse: Save Us’ tour to six other US states before concluding in Los Angeles the following month.The dates include stops in Chicago, Denver, San Francisco and more, in support of their latest release ‘Apocalypse: Save Us’.

Alice Cooper has announced a month-long fall 2022 North American tour starting this September in support of his most recent album, ‘Detroit Stories’.The rocker, who is currently finishing up the spring leg of his North American tour before he tours Europe from late May to early July, announced the fall series of tour stops on his social media yesterday (April 12). Tickets for the Detroit Muscle Tour go on sale this Friday (April 15) 10am local time via Ticketmaster except for select festival tour dates.No opener has been announced for the fall tour dates, though Cooper will be joined by Buckcherry on his two New York tour dates in September.Cooper will also make stops at Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Alton, Virginia, on September 9 alongside In Flames, Lamb of God and others, and at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky on September 24 with Rob Zombie and KISS as part of the tour.Cooper recently revealed back in January that he is currently working on both his 29th and 30th studio albums simultaneously – less than a year after releasing his 28th.
