Actor Vinnie Jones has opened up about finding love again, five years after losing his wife Tanya to cancer.
The Gentlemen star and former footballer tragically lost his wife to skin cancer following a six year battle with the disease. She was aged just 53. Vinnie, 59, has since been open about his struggles with grief, and recently told The Mirror: "You know, after four months, four years, five years, 10 years, you just keep moving forwards, the grief is always going to be in there.
It's how other things can control it. It's how much the flower can grow and bloom." And reflecting on how he's come to see grief differently than before. He said: "I think, for me, grief was always black and grey, but it doesn't have to be.
It can be colours and happy memories." Following this discussion of grief, Vinnie revealed that he is now in a relationship with his PA Emma Ford. Revealing the new romance, he said: "Moving forwards, we meet other people that we are fond of and we fall in love with and vice versa." The tough-guy actor, once known for his struggles with alcohol, revealed his life is more peaceful these days. He explained: "I'm enjoying the joy in life.
I think I've learned a little bit that ego is not your Amigo." Known as "the monster" during his footballing career, Vinnie played as a strong midfielder, famous for his fierce style of play. His reputation was emphasised by a well-known photograph of him grabbing Paul Gascoigne, a player for Newcastle United, by his privates during a 1998 game. On top of football, Vinnie's antics off the field were even crazier.
He loudly points the blame at one culprit for his behaviour - alcohol. Now that he's sober, he enjoys "chilling out" and having a round of golf in Palm Springs. In
