Coronation Street star Victoria Ekanoye has opened up on her breast cancer diagnosis and urged women to check their breasts regularly. The actress, who portrayed Angie Appleton in the ITV soap, appeared on Thursday’s episode of Loose Women where she spoke about discovering a lump while breastfeeding her son.

Breast cancer clinics have seen a big increase in the number of patients since the death of Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, a London hospital chief has revealed.
