Variety Staff Follow Us on Twitter Variety will host its first-ever Grammy cover party, presented by TikTok, on Thursday, Feb. 1, in Los Angeles.
The event will celebrate multitalented singer-songwriter-producer-dancer Victoria Monét, who is nominated for seven Grammys and will grace the cover of the Jan. 31 issue.
The party follows Variety’s 2023 Hitmakers celebration, which also recognized Monét as an honoree alongside SZA, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius and many others. The invite-only party will kick off Grammy weekend and feature a guest list of breakthrough talent, best new artist nominees, music executives, agents and industry leaders.
As part of the evening, TikTok will present the Future Icon Award to Monét. “We are so excited to band together with Variety in honoring the multi-talented singer-songwriter Victoria Monét ahead of her well-deserved seven nominations at this year’s Grammy Awards,” said Ole Obermann, Global Head of Music Business Development, TikTok.
