Vanessa Feltz has been slammed by fans after she was “triggered” by her date on Celebs Go Dating. After a pizza incident that left fans “cringing” – where Vanessa was appalled that her restaurant owner date, Paul, served Hawaiian pizza in his restaurant – the TV presenter confronted dating agents Paul Brunson and Anna Williamson over their choice of men for her.
On Wednesday night’s episode, 30 August, she said: "You should understand me the first time I said it, because I've said it with the utmost clarity." Paul replied: "Vanessa, I love you, but you're coming for me right now,” to which Vanessa tells him that she “isn’t coming for” him. Her anger comes as she was set up on a date who looked just like her ex, Phats and Small singer Ben Ofoedu, who admitted to sexting and cheating with other women.
During the episode, Vanessa revealed that she felt “trapped” on the date. “He looks like my ex, he sounds like my ex and is in the same profession," she said.
“I feel hugely triggered, trapped - I wanna run away I am feeling a torrent of emotions.” Fans took to social media to have their say on the matter, with one writing: “Vanessa Feltz is horrid. She’s so aggressive and rude” Another said: “Again she’s horrible I won’t be watching her again on this morning or any program as she’s acting as a spoilt child.
Get her booted off.” A third wrote: “My god she has been quite rude on a few of her dates.” However, others came to her defence saying: “My god she has been quite rude on a few of her dates.” Some fans were in agreeance over the producers being in the wrong. One said: “Be nice guys… she’s been married for a long time and it ended horribly…,she’s still clearly hurt and damaged… don’t be nasty unnecessarily…life’s too short
