Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s “As Bestas,” a French-Spanish movie, has been added to Cannes Première, the new section dedicated to world premieres for movies that are slightly more mainstream, similarly to the out-of-competition strand.

Download Festival Japan has revealed the first wave of artists for its 2022 line-up, led by Dream Theater and Bullet For My Valentine.They will be joined by Mastodon, Steel Panther, At The Gates and The Halo Effect on August 14 at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Center in Chiba, with more acts yet to be announced.This will mark the first edition of Download Japan since it debuted in the country in 2019. Rolling Loud is coming to Canada. The renowned rap festival, which has hosted installments in Miami, New York City, Los Angeles, as well Portugal, and Australia, will host its first-ever Canadian edition in Toronto on September 9–11 at Ontario Place.

The festival said “French celebrities have often held this role in an anniversary year, such as Yves Montand in 1987 for the 40th Festival, Gérard Depardieu in 1993 for the 45th Festival, and Isabelle Adjani in 1997 for the 50th.”The jury will comprise two-time Oscar-winning filmmaker Asghar Farhadi (“A Hero”), as well as U.S.
