Nearly four years after his death, Prince was honored Sunday night with a special all-star performance at the 62nd Grammy Awards that left some viewers scratching their heads.

Usher, FKA Twigs and Sheila E. took on the music of Prince — an artist who defied genre — as part of a three-song tribute to the icon at the 2020 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.The performance brought together the Prince collaborators, friends and artists he inspired for a series of bite-sized, electric renditions of his hits.

Ahead of Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince, Usher hit the 2020 Grammys stage on Sunday (Jan. 26) to perform a medley of Prince classics with a feathery, fantastic assist from FKA Twigs.Opening with "Little Red Corvette," Usher – wearing a spangly blue-green suit – was all impassioned intensity.

Usher, Sheila E., and FKA twigs took to the 2020 Grammy Awards stage tonight, where they performed a tribute to the late Prince. Usher kicked off the performance in a sparkling waistcoat for a version of “Little Red Corvette.” He then went into renditions of “When Doves Cry,” and “Kiss.” Sheila E. supported on vocals and drums. FKA twigs danced but did not sing during the performance. They were joined by a slew of dancers and a backing band.

FKA twigs is set to join the previously announced star-studded Prince tribute at this year's Grammy Awards, according to Pitchfork.

FKA twigs will perform Sunday night at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, where she’ll take the stage with Sheila E. and Usher for a tribute to the late Prince. twigs said that she would join the previously-announced homage to the Purple One during an interview with Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio show.

ABC News will air a primetime special, “Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan, and the Crown,” looking at the tumultuous “Megxit” of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the royal family.

A spectacular slate of musicians including FKA twigs, Syd, D’Angelo, Damon Albarn, and Erykah Badu, are set to appear on a new vinyl-only album by the largely anonymous producer Terry Slingbaum. The three-track album runs approximately 16 minutes, and will only be sold through vinyl pre-orders; per the Slingbaum website, there are no plans for the album to be released digitally or on streaming services.

Mysterious artist Slingbaum has announced his debut album, and it features some high profile guests. D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, FKA twigs, Damon Albarn, and more have contributed to the project.
