Sony Pictures owns the film rights to Spider-Man and the studio has been creating a universe surrounding characters from that property. Now, it’s being reported that the studio has a name for the universe.
This week, the studio tweeted about a limited-time offer to own the complete Spider-Man movie collection and referenced the “Spider-Man Universe of Characters.”

British director S.J. Clarkson is all set to direct the upcoming female-led Spider-Man spinoff movie. The upcoming film will be a part of the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters. This is not the first time the director will collaborate with Marvel. In the past, she had directed episodes for Jessica Jones and The Defenders. Other than these, Clarkson also has House, Dexter, and Succession, to her directing credit. The creators have not spilled any more information about the project.
Andrew Garfield played Spider-Man in two films, namely The Amazing Spider-Man and part 2 of the same film. The latest news reports suggest that the actor was replaced because he failed to appear at the film's event.

Ever since it was announced that Sony is working on the sequel of Tom Hardy starrer 2018 Sci-fi action film Venom, the Marvel fans have been eagerly waiting for the movie. As the world stops to take a collective deep breath, the production of movies, serials, and TV shows have been put on hold amid the ongoing COVID 19 lockdown. The latest movies to join the list are Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man 3. Sony Pictures and The Walt Disney Co. announced the revised theatrical release schedules on April 24 and confirmed the delay.

Ryan Reynolds recently surprised his fellow Marvel star Tom Holland with a case of gin to keep him occupied during the ongoing Coronavirus shut down. During his virtual interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 23-year-old revealed that The Deadpool star recently treated him to Aviation gin and lots of love.
