A self-confessed 'dull' man has produced a bizarre calendar for 2023 - celebrating Britain's best car parks.
Kevin Beresford spent several months travelling the length of the entire country reviewing the parking offerings from Land's End to John o' Groats. Kevin, who admits he could be 'Britain's dullest man', decided to embark on the 603 mile journey in search of the nation's prime parking spot. Four Scottish car parks are among the dozen to have made the final print run.
A car park at Culloden, often touted as Britain's most haunted parking location, features in March. Hundreds of people were killed in the battle near Inverness in 1746, which became Britain's last pitched battle and spelt the end of the Jacobite uprising.
Edinburgh Airport's multi-storey, with its 'helter skelter' style ramps, is the first car park in the calendar, while Waterloo Street car park in Glasgow features in June, with its striking wooden beams. Duncansby Head car park in the Highlands, north of John o' Groats, was chosen because it has the best views.
However, Kevin admits that his favourite car park is south of the border, in Birmingham. The Trinity Street car park in the city's creative quarter Digbeth boasts a cocktail bar along one of it sides, has walls made from crushed cars and is adorned with street art.
When judging what makes a good car park, Kevin takes into consideration factors including lighting, price and aesthetics of the spaces. Kevin, who is also president of the Car Park Association Society, said: "I think first and foremost if I had to design a car park myself it would
