Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) has launched an “udderly brilliant” new fundraising sculpture trail which will see a herd of colourful cows displayed across Perth and Kinross.
The Hairy Highland Coo Trail is being run in partnership with Perth and Kinross Council and Wild in Art, the UK’s leading creative producer of mass-appeal public art events such as the Penguin Parade in Dundee, Oor Wullie Bucket Trail in Glasgow and Giraffe About Town in Edinburgh.
One full-size sculpture painted by Lenzie artist Laura Henderson, featuring the CHAS alphabet, was unveiled at a special launch at Perth Concert Hall on Wednesday along with two mini ‘coos’ painted by children and families at Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch.

There will be 30 sculptures in total, with each ‘coo’ sponsored by local businesses and decorated by artists and communities.

Once the trail is finished, the sculptures will be auctioned in September 2024 to raise vital funds for CHAS to help the charity continue its work supporting children with life-shortening conditions and their families.
Hayley Smith, project manager - Wild in Art at Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), said: “We are so excited to launch our Hairy Highland Coo Art Trail, which will see 30 Highland Coo sculptures, all individually painted by local artists, roam across the beautiful Perth and
