Tyson Fury has issued a message to Khabib Nurmagomedov amid links with a showdown against Jake Paul in MMA.
The Youtuber-turned-boxer is undefeated in the ring, having knocked out Tyron Woodley in December, and continues to be backed for fights against some of the biggest names.
Nurmagomedov is among them, with it claimed that his camp had presented an offer to Paul - something which has since been denied.
Paul hasn't closed the door entirely on a move into MMA, though he's made it clear it would take a mammoth financial offer unless he had years of training.
However, while that may be something that is on the cards, Fury has shared his thoughts upon the situation by declaring that Nurmagomedov did the right thing with his career.
"This man did it right. Got in and won and got out on top. Big respect," he posted on Twitter.
Nurmagomedov stepped away from the ring in 2020 after promising his mother that he would do so following the death of his father.
Ending his career undefeated, he vacated his lightweight title following victory over Justin Gaethje and is unlikely to return.
Fury certainly feels that he shouldn't do so and made the right move with his retirement, which may hint at his own approach in the future.
The Gypsy King is in the latter stages of his career and, still undefeated, defends his WBC title against Dillian Whyte, before then facing a potential unification bout against Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua.
