Tommy Fury's chances of seeing a bout against Jake Paul rescheduled appear to be even more unlikely following the latest jibe from the American.
Fury and Paul were due to go toe-to-toe in Florida in December but Fury was forced to withdraw from the bout just weeks before the event, having suffered with a bacterial chest infection and a broken rib.
Paul would instead face a rematch with Tyron Woodley, who he had previously defeated earlier in the year, and secured his most impressive win to date with a knockout.
Since then, Fury has pushed to try and get his bout rescheduled but Paul's stance is that his chance has been and gone - while also accusing him of faking injury.
Currently in the UK promoting the huge April fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, Paul reiterated that belief once again and outlined his plans to become a world champion in boxing.
Those comments will serve as a double blow to Fury, with Paul's comments making it clear his thoughts haven't changed and that he is now eyeing bigger things.
On top of that, Paul's focus at the moment is the mammoth fight between Taylor and Serrano, the first women's boxing event to headline at New York's Madison Square Garden, and his own fight career will be on the backburner.
Fury, meanwhile, will likely seek a quicker return to the ring having not fought since his victory over Anthony Taylor at the end of August.
With a 7-0 record, the light-heavyweight is still in the infancy of his boxing career and needs more activity to bolster his standing.
Fury's next fight date and opponent is yet to be confirmed, though there are a number of upcoming events where he could feature on the undercard.
