Tyler, the Creator Calls Urban Grammys Category ‘a Politically Correct Way to Say the N-Word’

The Grammy Awards took place last night and their were lots of winners of the most coveted award in the music industry—and rapper Tyler The Creator was the lucky recipient of one. While his fans were congratulating him all on social media, it was the message that BFF Jaden Smith posted that has everyone talking.

Jaden Smith, 21, seemed to be proud of Tyler, the Creator, 28, after his epic Grammy Award win on Jan. 26 and shared an eye-catching tweet to prove it. The rapper won in the category of Best Rap Album for his  Igor album and soon after he accepted the honor, the son of Will Smith, 51, and Jada Pinkett Smith, 48, took to Twitter to write about it. “My Boyfriend Just Won A Grammy,” his tweet read.

Perhaps no one is happier for Tyler, the Creator than Jaden Smith.

Pop singer Billie Eilish was the 2020 Grammy Awards’ biggest winner last night, having won the ceremony's top four categories. Eilish became the youngest artist in Grammy history to take home wins for Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

Tyler, The Creator won his first Grammy last night, taking home the award for Best Rap Album. During a backstage interview, the former Odd Future leader described it as a bittersweet moment. He continued by calling out the Recording Academy’s decision to put his genre-bending album, IGOR, in the rap category.
