Two women have been left fighting for their lives after one reportedly fell from a building and landed on the other.
Police and paramedics were seen outside a chip shop in High Road, in the Wood Green area of London, following the incident. The road was closed off for several hours by the Met Police.
The two women are in hospital in a critical condition, and police are now trying to trace them to inform their next of kin about the incident, reports the Mirror.
Local reports say a woman fell from a car park building and hit a pedestrian on the street below.
There is no indication as to how she fell or what she was doing prior to the incident taking place.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 4.50pm on Wednesday, April 12, to reports of a woman injured after falling from height in High Road, Wood Green.
"Another woman sustained injuries as a result of the incident. They have been taken to hospital for treatment, where they both remain in a critical condition.
"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and officers are working to trace their next of kin. Road closures are currently in place on High Road."
High Road in Wood Green reopened later in the evening, with traffic flowing normally.
The London Ambulance Service were contacted for comment by the Mirror.
