As the Black Lives Matter movement continues to make headlines, Justin Bieber came forward to make a promise. The international singer has been showing his support towards the movement since George Floyd's horrifying death rocked the United States of America.

As hundreds of thousands of demonstrators joined together across the nation after the May 25 death of George Floyd at the hands of a White Minneapolis police officer, celebrities have been doing their part to support the movement.

As George Floyd protests continue to rage in the US, celebrities are taking a stand to speak up and contribute in their own little way. Selena Gomez is one such star.

Selma Blair, 47, is making sure her son Arthur, 8, is educated from a very young age. The Legally Blonde actress held a personal, backyard memorial for George Floyd, one week after the 46-year-old was killed in Minneapolis. She took to Instagram. She took to Instagram on June 3 to share a photo of an outdoor candle with a heartrending message. “We stood outside for 8 minutes 46 seconds to just think of what George Floyd means for each of us from where we are,” she captioned the post.

NFL quarterback Drew Brees can add one more fumble to his career total. The New Orleans Saints star is the latest public figure to spark backlash over his comments surrounding his beliefs on the National Anthem and the United States flag.  On Wednesday, Yahoo Finance interviewed Brees and asked him about his stance on the recent nationwide protests in response to George Floyd's death, who was killed by a Minneapolis police officer on Monday, May 25.

Out of the many stars who stood in solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement, Selena Gomez also extended her support by shutting down her website to protest police violence against the black community. The 27-year-old not only participated in "Blackout Tuesday" but also urged fans to develop introspective thinking and called for justice for George Floyd after the former football player's tragic death at the hands of four policemen on May 25 in Minneapolis.

Rapper The Weeknd has donated 500,000 dollars (about £400,000) to Black Lives Matter causes and urged record labels and streaming services to do similar.

's Stephanie Beatriz and 's Griffin Newman are urging actors who play or have played cops on TV to donate a share of their paychecks amid protests following George Floyd's death. 

Selena Gomez is participating in “Blackout Tuesday,” as seen in a statement on her official website. On June 2, fans were greeted with a message by the “Boyfriend” singer, 27, that encouraged “introspective thinking” amid protests calling for justice in the death of George Floyd, 46. Floyd, an unarmed black man, died after being restrained by former disgraced police officer, Derek Chauvin, during an arrest in Minneapolis on May 25.

In the wake of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor’s tragic deaths, celebrities are using their social media platforms to stand in solidarity with the Black community. In honor of Blackout Tuesday, celebs took to their respective social media accounts to post an all-black image to show their support.

The Weeknd is using his wealth for good. The 30-year-old Canadian singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, took to Instagram on Monday night to publicly share some recent donations to organizations supporting the Black Lives matter movement in the hopes that others will do the same. 

Designer Virgil Abloh has issued an apology. On Monday, the Louis Vuitton men's artistic director and founder of Off-White took to social media to address his previous comments about people looting, as well as his $50 donation to help protesters who needed bail money.
