TV Ratings: Grammy Awards Hit New Lows in Early Numbers

After delaying proceedings for almost two months and coming up with innovative ways to put on a live show during the coronavirus pandemic, the Grammys are mostly going back to normal with their 2022 awards ceremony. The 64th annual edition of the music trophyfest is set to take place on Jan.

Jem Aswad Senior Music EditorIn an optimistic move toward normalcy, the Recording Academy has announced that the 64 th annual Grammy Awards will take place at the show’s traditional home of the Staples Center on Jan. 31, 2022 — exactly a year after the originally scheduled date of the 2021 awards, which were moved to March 14 due to a spike in coronavirus cases in Southern California.As usual, the show will broadcast live on the CBS television network from 8 – 11:30 p.m.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 from 8-11:30 pm ET/5-8:30 PM PT on CBS. It will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

 Beyoncé  has officially become the most-winning singer in the 63-year history of the Grammy Awards. The global superstar earned 28 trophies the night of Sunday, March 14, including her most recent wins for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl” and Best Rap Performance for her ”Savage” collaboration with fellow Texas native Megan Thee Stallion.
