In an emotional reveal, TV personality Sarah Cawood has shared her fears that her cancer may have made a comeback with a tear-jerking video.
The former presenter of The Girly Show, aged 51, opened up about her battle with stage one breast cancer which was discovered in 2022 following a routine mammogram. She went through a lumpectomy, radiotherapy, and started long-term hormone therapy.
Fast forward to 2023, and Sarah felt another lump, leading her to express on Instagram: "Once you've had cancer, you worry about it coming back all the time." Now, the mother of two is fraught with concern that the disease has re-emerged after she had a mammogram a fortnight ago. She took to Instagram with a raw video where she's seen crying next to her 12 year old son, who was sleeping next to her.
Clad in her PJs and dabbing at her tears, Sarah spoke about an upcoming appointment, trying to stay hopeful that there's no cause for alarm. She posted: "I got a text today telling me I have an appointment on Tuesday...
I had a mammogram two weeks ago, but I also told the breast care nurses I was concerned about some marks on my other boob, so I don't know whether this appointment is about that (which has already disappeared) or my mammogram."
