Emotional tributes are being paid to a 43-year-old motorcyclist who died in a crash this week after he was named by police.
Lee Headley was involved in the crash on the B792, Blackburn Road at around 9.25pm on Monday, August 14.
Lee sadly died at the scene of the accident.
No other vehicle was involved and police officers investigating the accident have asked anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch.
His heartbroken partner Stephanie led the tributes to him on social media.
She wrote: “From the minute we met we were inseparable. We were so happy, so in love. It was perfect. We had already spoken about our future plans together.
“I’m absolutely devastated, heartbroken and I can’t take this in, it makes no sense. I spoke to you before you went into work yesterday. You were so happy and the last words you said to me were ‘love you babe’.
“I’ve lost a piece of my heart and I’ll never get it back. You were just Lee and I was just Steph and together we were the perfect team. I definitely found my soulmate in you. I absolutely adored you. I miss you so much it aches. Wish I could just have five more minutes with you. I will love you forever.”
His sister Louise Aitchison added: “My handsome wee brother, you will be sorely missed Lee.”
A post from Who Dares Cares, a charity set up by two former soldiers, paid tribute to Lee on Facebook on Tuesday. They wrote: “Some very sad news. Lee was one of the good guys.
“Our good friend and brother, Lee Headley, passed away last night whilst on his motorbike going home from work. No further details are available.”
Dozens of heartbroken friends and family have since contributed to the post and have left comments.
