A mum who was fatally stabbed in the street 'received death threats' days before the incident, the police watchdog has revealed.

The death of a talented young footballer has led to a huge outpouring of grief. A minute's applause was held for Ross Aikenhead ahead of the Wythenshawe Town vs Wythenshawe match, along with players wearing black arm bands and moments of remembrance at other matches across the region for Ross.
He played for Winsford United. Bosses paid tribute to Ross, who was in his 20s, calling him a ‘fantastic young man and a terrific footballer’. The Cheshire side, which plays in the North West Counties League First Division South, said he would be ‘sorely missed’.
A lifelong neighbour shared a moving tribute. Ross, who lived in Sale, was ‘kind, considerate, well-minded’ and a ‘beautiful person’, she said.

Linda Journeaeux, 67, spoke of her sadness at learning the tragic news of Ross’ death. “I’ve known him since he was born.
"He was just fantastic, so lovely – I don’t really have words for it, Saturday was an awful day,” she told the Manchester Evening News.
Ms Journeaeux, a mother herself, said she was left shaken having spent years living next door to Ross and his family at their Sale home, fondly remembering garden parties she was invited to. She remembered Ross helping her when she was injured in an accident, saying: “I fell on my drive, he came and picked me up... literally picked me up and carried me into the house.
"He was so gentle and lovely. No one could fault him. He was brilliant."
Ms Journeaeux shared memories from when she knew Ross as a boy. “He was always sporty, and always wanted to help anybody,” she added.
“I think we’re still all in shock.”
