It’s the 2020 Grammy Awards tonight, and, for the third year in a row, Dave Chappelle has won Best Comedy Album. The Oscars 2020 made a whole lot of noise when the star-studded nomination list was announced a few days back. Hosts and actors Issa Rae and John Cho did the honours this year as they introduced the talented nominees.

On Monday morning, the 2020 Oscars nominations were announced. Stars John Cho and Issa Rae presented this year’s nominees for the 92nd Academy Awards, which saw lots of surprises and snubs. Joker led the pack with a total of 11 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor, while foreign film Parasite also earned high praise with six nominations, including Best Picture.
Issa Rae and John Cho announced the nominees for the 2020 Oscars this morning. After presenting the nominations for the Directing category, which consists entirely of male directors, Rae deadpanned, "Congratulations to those men." Her comments underscored the fact that no female directors are being acknowledged by this year's Oscars, despite there being plenty of choices in 2019.

The nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards are here -- and with them come a few surprises, including one glaring snub standing out in the musical categories.

But much of the discussion online has been centered on who didn't get a nomination.
Issa Rae did not shy away from calling out the snub given to female directors after she congratulated the male directors for their nominations for the respective films. The director's category did not have a single female director getting a nod.
