Tragic 'murder' victim named as beloved beauty salon owner mum leaving local villagers shocked

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in a property in Messingham. Humberside Police raced to the house in North Lincolnshire at around 12.40am on Sunday, November 6, after receiving a report of concern for a person's safety.
Clair Armstrong, a 50-year-old beautician and mum, was found dead in the house. A 54-year-old man is now in custody after he was arrested on suspicion of murder, the Mirror reports.
Officers have been confirmed that Clair's family have been notified of her death and are being given support from specialist officers. The mother and talented skydiver, who owned Oliver's beauty salon and regularly took part in skydive jumps at her local centre, was well known and highly thought of by locals in North Lincolnshire village.
One of her neighbours said: "Clair was friendly and always spoke to me when we were out walking the dogs. I just can't believe this has happened right on our doorstep. You see it on the television, but I'm very surprised to see it outside my house."
Clair's tragic death has devastated locals in the small village who shed tears when asked about the passing of the beloved 50-year-old. A fellow Messingham business owner said: "I just can't believe it, I've only ever seen this sort of thing on the news. The whole thing is just such a shock."
Cops are treating Clair's death as an alleged targeted attack. A scene guard will stay in place at the house until the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder are confirmed.
