A teenage girl who died had 'no previous mental health history', an inquest opening has heard. Precious Olamiji Akinyemi, 15, was rushed to hospital after being found 'unresponsive' in the bedroom of the family home on Monday, March 28.
However, despite extensive efforts from medics, she could not be saved and died with her family at her side later that day. An inquest into her death was opened at Manchester Coroner's Court on Tuesday morning, April 19, with the girl's parents present.
A statement by Senior Police Coroner's Officer, Paul Devine, read at the hearing, said student Miss Akinyemi, who was born in Manchester in 2007, was "discovered unresponsive in the bedroom at her home."

Assistant Coroner Fiona Borrill said she understood that Miss Akinyemi had 'no previous mental health history or anything of that nature at all.' She'd also had 'no involvement with child or adolescent mental health services or anything of that nature', she added.
She requested a report from the teenager's GP as well as the full post-mortem report and reports from two police officers involved in the investigation into her death, ahead of the full inquest, which it is hoped will take place within the next six months.
"Can I again offer you both my sincere condolences for the loss of your daughter in such tragic circumstances as these, and my sympathies to her brothers at what must be such a difficult time for you and your family," Ms Borill told Miss Akinyemi's parents.
Miss Borrill said a post-mortem report had
