A woman has tragically died after being found with life-threatening injuries following a fire in Golborne. Fire crews, police and paramedics attended the scene of the blaze on Edge Green Lane on Monday morning (March 11).
A woman was found at the scene in a life-threatening condition, however Greater Manchester Police have confirmed she has since passed away.
Further details about her age and the circumstances surrounding the fire have not yet been confirmed, however the incident is currently believed to be non-suspicious.

Investigations remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the blaze. Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Greater Manchester Police responded to an incident at Edge Green Lane on 11 March 2024 at around 9.20am. Emergency services were in attendance into a reported fire to make the property safe.
"A woman was found in a life-threatening condition and has since sadly passed away despite the best attempts of emergency service personnel. Her family are being supported by officers at this time. Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances but it is believed to be non-suspicious."
