If you’re looking for a ‘roarsome’ activity to entertain the whole family this Easter while getting a breath of fresh air, look no further than an outdoor woodland trail in Cheshire. Little ones will need to keep their eyes peeled though - they might spot a dinosaur or two, as well as a whole host of other magical creatures peeping through the trees.
Just half-an-hour’s drive from Manchester, Totally Roarsome initially opened at the picturesque location of the grounds of Arley Hall near Lymm in Cheshire on February 18. Due to the popularity of the event it has extended its stay until April 24, to give families even more time to explore. With more than 200 models scattered throughout the trail, children will be able to get up close to the raptors, brontosaurus, spinosaurus, woolly mammoth, triceratops and stegosaurus.
There are also plenty of other creatures to spot - from mystical unicorns to jungle animals, the trail provides endless photo opportunities at different themed sections, which include Alice in Wonderland, The Wild West and the Arctic. Groups enter every 15 minutes to space people apart and the trail takes between an hour and an hour-and-a-half to complete, depending on the pace of your little ones.
The path is suitable for pushchairs and prams, and upon entry families are given a quiz sheet, featuring different levels of questions aimed at different age groups with the answers on the fact boards as you make your way around. Facilities include toilets at the beginning of the route, as well as Arley Hall cafe a short five minute walk away.
At the end of the trail there is a shop where you get a free photo taken of you and your family with a dinosaur, included in the ticket price, and there’s also the option
