Tory Lanez has said he’s sitting on “real golden songs” after releasing ‘The New Toronto 3′.
The new project, which happened to mark the end of his record deal with Interscope Records, was released off of the helm of his record-breaking Quarantine Radio aired on Instagram live.
Following its release, Tory spoke to DJ Ebro on Beats 1, about his new journey as an independent artist.

Now that 6ix9ine is officially out of jail earlier than expected due to the COVID-19 pandemic, questions have turned to when the rapper plans to relaunch his career and whether or not fans will still support his music. The Brooklyn rapper gave his first hint on Monday by hopping into Tory Lanez’s popular Instagram Live show Quarantine Radio.
Roomies, Tekashi 69 has been making his rounds on Al Gore’s innanet. First, after his release from prison, he stepped into The Shade Room, and now he is trolling Tory Lanez’s record-breaking “Quarantine Radio,” making sure his presence was known.
On his new song, “Letter to the City 2,” Canadian rapper Tory Lanez takes the opportunity to address his issues with Interscope Records while borrowing a line from his former foe Drake. It appears on Tory’s latest album, The New Toronto 3, which marks his final release on the label.
Tory Lanez is known for being very confident in his own skills, not unlike Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor. Considering their similarities, it’s no surprise that McGregor’s voice shows up on Lanez’s latest album, The New Toronto 3. Tory uses one of McGregor’s infamous post-match speeches as the intro to the project’s third song, “Stupid Again.”
