The most popular baby names rise and fall, with the trendiest choices of one generation hanging by a thread with the next - and next year is no different.
The top 40 names on the brink of extinction in 2023 include monikers such as Carolyn, Jules, Greg, and Wes, according to new research by Pregnacare by Vitabiotics.
Revealing what names are set to trend in 2023, parents may be surprised to see their unique pick is bang on trend with the Beckhams and popular shows like Game of Thrones and Sex Education. The brand reports nurseries are set to see an influx of children called Ivy, Luna, Theodore and Tommy.
To help unveil the most and least popular names for parents to sift through and choose from, Pregnacare analysed government data from 1996 to 2022, reported Wales Online.
The report identified trends and made an expert prediction based on year-on-year ranking increases and the number of babies born with each name every year.
