Tom Parker made his final journey after his funeral service at church on Wednesday as his band’s song played in front of a clapping crowd.The Wanted’s 2012 hit Gold Forever could be heard playing in a clip filmed after Tom’s funeral ceremony outside St Francis of Assis Church. As the track played from tall speakers, a group of pallbearers could be seen carrying the coffin in front of a procession of guests as they slowly made their way out of the church. In October 2020, he was diagnosed with a brain cancer called glioblastoma.
He has left behind wife Kelsey and their two young children, daughter Aurelia, two, and son Bodhi, one. In the final weeks before his death, Tom remained determined to join The Wanted on stage and appeared with the group at some of the final dates of their reunion tour. His band members acted as pallbearers at the funeral held on Wednesday, carrying his coffin into the church as the Oasis song Live Forever played.
