Max George paid tribute to his "feisty" friend and The Wanted bandmate Tom Parker in a heartwarming eulogy at his funeral service today. Max, 33, was joined by Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, and Nathan Sykes, as they said their final goodbyes to Tom, alongside his loved ones. The four band members joined together as pallbearers at the private service at Queensway, South East London, putting on brave faces in front of the large crowd of mourners.

Inside the funeral service, Max was joined alongside Siva, 33, as the duo paid respects to their dear friend in a eulogy. In an emotional speech, Max said that he heard his band mate speaking to him as he was carrying his coffin. He said: "So, I hadn't actually written this bit, but as we were carrying Tom in, I could hear him saying, ‘It’s about time’ because he’s carried us for the past 12 years.
"He definitely was saying that," Max added, as the crowd laughed. "Obviously, it's with the deepest sadness that we're here today, but I'm going to try and say some things that hopefully from us boys will make you smile about Tom," he said. Max then said how he and his fellow bandmates saw Tom like family, describing him as a "brother".
