Tom Hanks shares photo of plasma he donated to help fight coronavirus

The world was still finding out just how deadly the Coronavirus pandemic is when Tom Hanks and his wife became the first celebrities to go public with their COVID-19 diagnosis. Their announcement took people by surprise. Since then, the two have recovered from the disease and are now trying to help others who are infected by the virus. Tom recently took to social media and revealed that he donated blood plasma to a Los Angeles hospital in an effort to help fight the virus.

Tom Hanks is giving back. On Wednesday, the actor shared a picture of his donated plasma after discovering that he and wife Rita Wilson, who both recently recovered from COVID-19, carry antibodies for the deadly virus.

Following their battle with COVID-19, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are donating their blood and plasma after receiving confirmation that they carry antibodies for the novel coronavirus.  As fans may recall, the couple tested positive for COVID-19 while in Australia and returned home to Los Angeles at the end of March after recovering from their symptoms. Oscar winner Tom Hanks has opened up about his COVID-19 battle and recovery, revealing his wife, Rita Wilson, had it much worse than him.

Now that he and his wife Rita Wilson have recovered from COVID-19, Tom Hanks is opening up about what it was like battling the coronavirus and living in isolation.

After winning their battle against Coronavirus, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson returned to their home in Los Angeles. They were in Australia when they tested positive and following the diagnosis, they were treated for the disease in the country. They were spotted in an SUV in LA on March 27 and were photographed smiling brightly. Just like people across the world, the couple is now practicing social distancing, and the Oscar winner is ready to discuss his experience with the deadly virus. 

Tom Hanks was the first celebrity to reveal he tested positive for COVID-19 and now he is going into detail what it was really like.
