lawsuit filed against Robert De Niro, by his former personal assistant.De Niro’s company, Canal Productions, has been ordered to pay more than $1.2 million to Graham Chase Robinson, the actor’s long-time personal assistant, after it was found to have engaged in gender discrimination.However, De Niro himself was found to be not personally liable for the abuse. This follows a two-week trial in New York City, where De Niro denied all claims of being an abusive employer.Robinson, 41, brought claims against De Niro after she quit the job in 2019 following disagreements with De Niro’s then girlfriend, Tiffany Chen.

De Niro himself was not found to be liable. The jury ruled that Robinson should be awarded $1,264,285.72 by Canal Production for non-monetary and monetary damages.

A civil jury in New York City is set to begin deliberating today whether Robert De Niro abused and discriminated against his longtime personal assistant, Graham Chase Robinson, and whether Robinson misused funds from the actor’s company, Canal, and stole office property including millions of frequent-flier miles before she quit in 2019 after 11 years on De Niro’s payroll.

Jordan Moreau Graham Chase Robinson, ex-employee to Robert De Niro and former VP of production and finance at his Canal Productions, took the stand in a New York court Friday in the ongoing trial regarding gender discrimination and retaliation charges against the actor. Robinson was hired as De Niro’s executive assistant in 2008 and later became the VP of his loan-out company. In her lawsuit, she alleged that De Niro treated her like an “office wife” and gave her gendered tasks to do, like mending his clothes, vacuuming his apartment and scratching his back.
