Timothée Chalamet will portray Bob Dylan in a forthcoming film directed by James Mangold, as Deadline reports. The biopic, reportedly titled Going Electric, will chronicle Dylan’s rise from Greenwich Village folk singer to rock messiah—particularly focusing on his controversial embrace of the electric guitar in 1965.
Mangold directed 2005’s Walk the Line, about Johnny Cash, as well as Logan, Ford v Ferrari, and more. According to Deadline, Dylan is working actively with Mangold and Searchlight
