Timbaland claims he still has a bullet in his neck after being shot nearly four decades ago.The 51-year-old hitmaker reminisced on Andy Coulson’s “Crisis What Crisis?” podcast about being accidentally shot by a Red Lobster co-worker in 1986, which temporarily paralyzed his arm.“This guy was going to fight one of my friends, and he brought a gun …he pulls it out and shows me. And it went off, and it shot me, grazed my neck. It went in from an angle and I flinched,” Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, told the journalist.“I couldn’t feel my arm.
My arm went dead. It hit the nerve, just boom, just dead, you know? Thinking back now it’s just like wow, you know, it was just like boom, it was just like that.”“The Way I Are” producer continued, “The bullet’s still in me. I’m just like, it’s a part of me, you know? So I can never disconnect.
Having that bullet in me…keeps reminding me why I’m blessed to be here, and what’s my purpose, that I have to serve going forward.”“Some scars are meant to be there, just for a reminder. People try to remove that baggage, sometimes baggage is meant to be there to help you go forward,” he continued. Timbaland’s arm became paralyzed and he had to undergo physical therapy after the incident.
Despite the serious injury, he still found a way to DJ. “I still made a way to figure out things, you know?” he continued. “That’s the thing when you have a lot of drive; you want to try to figure out a way to face the problem.”The Post has contacted reps for Timbaland for comment.
