The Charlatans have announced details of a free Manchester show that they’ll play for NHS workers later this year.The Manchester veterans will play the gig ahead of their rescheduled UK and Ireland tour, which will kick off in Belfast on November 22.The show will take place at Gorilla in Manchester on November 15, with entry to the gig set to be free for all NHS staff.Ticket applications will open on October 1, with further details set to be announced soon.November 15th8pm@thecharlatans will be

The Twang have announced that they’ll be hitting the road in December for their ‘Twangmas’ tour.The Birmingham band’s festive run will kick off in Stoke on December 3 and end with two shows at London’s O2 Academy Islington on December 22 and 23.‘Twangmas’ will also include stops in Derby, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Newcastle, and Birmingham.“The Twangmas experience is usually exclusively a Brum thing,” frontman Phil Etheridge said of the tour.
Sir Tom Jones has announced a new set of UK tour dates for this year in support of his recent album ‘Surrounded By Time’.The record, which came out back in April, featured covers of songs by the likes of Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens and Bobby Cole.Jones is now set to tour in the UK in December on the ‘Surrounded By Time’ tour, which kicks off in Glasgow at The SSE Hydro on December 5.The tour will then visit Manchester and Birmingham before concluding in London on December 9 with a gig at The O2.
