A study by BonusFinder has looked at how much money has been lost in wages for players who have not been able to play at certain periods of time due to injury.
This was calculated based upon total days the player was injured, total games the player has missed and total wages lost during that time.
United centre back Raphael Varane is fifth on the most costly Premier League players list.
In total, the Frenchman was injured for 65 days, missing 14 matches - this led to an overall wages lost of £1,866,301.
Just behind him in seventh position is his compatriot Paul Pogba.
Pogba has been missing through injury for a total of 51 days, missing 11 matches.
Overall this means that £1,816,438 has been lost on his wage.
The third and final Manchester United player to make it into the top ten of this unfortunate list is Marcus Rashford.
Finding himself eighth on the list is the England international who has spent 93 days injured, missing only 10 games.
This has meant that United have lost £1,722,411 on Rashford's wage.
Despite United players featuring prominently in the list of the most costly players, top spot belongs to Leeds United's Robin Koch.
The Yorkshire club have a lost a mammoth £3,699,836 in wages according to the study.
