A “massive” Saturday is in store at Meadow Park.
Threave Rovers need just one point to secure promotion from the fourth division of the West of Scotland League.
But they’ll be up against a West Park United side who wrapped up the league title last weekend.
Threave boss Vinnie Parker said: “It’s got the makings of a massive game.
“West Park seem to be really on it just now, they’re aggressive, they chase teams down and they’re on the front foot.
“I think it’ll be a really good game. They’re not going to lie down and give us that point we need, we’re going to have to fight for it.
“They’ll want to end their season on a high, they’re a team that’s been together for a few years. They’re working hard for each other and it’s going to be a tough game.
“Nobody is going to give us that point, we’re going to have to earn it.”
Threave ensured they remained in the driving seat for the final promotion spot with a 2-0 win over Thorn Athletic on Saturday.
After a goalless first half, Alex Henderson set up Connor Potts to put Threave in front.
And Henderson played a key role in the second along with Dylan Cairnie, their work allowing Potts to find Dean Brotherston to add the second.
Parker said: “We’ve worked on being hard to beat, especially in the first 20 or 25 minutes. Getting to half-time 0-0 was pleasing as they had some half chances and we tweaked the shape as we needed to get a goal.
“They’ve got a really good manager who has them playing really well. The first half probably wasn’t too pleasing on the eye, they battled really hard to make the central area of the pitch a real battle ground so any chances we did create it was through hard graft.
