This Morning underwent an unexpected shake-up during Friday's instalment of the ITV daytime show (February 18) as presenters Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond left the regular studio. Instead, the Friday duo went to the Saturday Night Takeaway stage in another area of the ITV lot where they met up with NTA legends and presenting duo Ant and Dec for a chat.
While the Newcastle-born pair would normally have come into the This Morning studio for a segment on the show's sofa, producers decided to change up the format. With their interview and cue cards in their hands, Alison, 47, and Dermot, 48, who was involved in a hilarious name mix-up from Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams on Thursday, were all-smiles as they settled in for a chat with the boys over their new series, which is due to return this weekend.
Viewers took to the comments to share their thoughts on the change. While another viewer observed that the presenters were much more excitable about the show switch, commenting: "Bet ant and Dec are fuming they've had to get up at 10am for Alison and Dermot to shout at them #thismorning." "Don’t worry Allison, if I ever meet ant and Dec I’d be totally uncool," another fan encouraged.
"In fact I’d probably cry like a baby #ThisMorning." Others were not impressed at the build-up for the return of 46 year old Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly's popular Saturday evening entertainment show. "Not gonna bother watching Saturday Night Takeaway.
Love the boys but find it all a bit manic.Time for a movie instead #ThisMorning," one viewer shared. Another
