Dr Lily revealed on This Morning that her impression of Princess Diana was that she was a “real angel” who loved Chinese medicine. Dr Lily appeared on the show for Chinese New Year to discuss the benefits of herbal medicine and how it can provide alternative support to western medicine. Rochelle Humes and Alison Hammond, who has stepped in for Phillip Schofield since he tested positive for Covid-19, took a moment to ask about Dr Lily’s former royal client.
The former Saturday’s singer began: “You’ve done this for lots of different people, you worked closely with Princess Diana over the years and as you’ve said, Chinese medicine is a big thing, lots of celebrities and lots of people are really open to it, but we just don’t know enough about it. How did you help Diana?” Get exclusive celebrity stories and reality tv news straight to your inbox with OK! daily newsletter . You can sign up at the top of the page.
Dr Lily held her chest fondly, as she recollected about that time: “I remember. The first time I saw her, I was really shocked. I remember my reaction was, “my god, I saw real angel, in real life.” Her moving words touched the co-hosts as they listened on intently. Dr Lily continued: “After that I knew her and she came twice a week for acupuncture and stuff like that.
She loved Chinese herbs and acupuncture.” The This Morning doctor gushed about how “genuine” the former Princess of Wales was, as well as how “deeply” she respected her. Dr Lily added: “What I could tell you about Princess Diana is she was so genuine and she had a passion and she loved helping people and her charity work. So I really deeply respected her and admired her dearly.” She finished by saying she was a real example of a “role model” in society.
