This Morning was full of chaos on Tuesday as Gino D'Acampo didn't realise he was live on air during his cooking segment. During the latest instalment, as the ITV chat show returned from an advert break, Gino, 46, was heard talking in the background as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield attempted to present. To which Gino asked if he could be told when the studio was live to which they pointed out they already were as he quickly addressed the camera.
He said: "Guys, tell me when you're ready because I'm nearly there. So when we are live, tell me, and I'll just go for it!" To which Phillip replied: "Go for it!" as a shocked Gino responded: "We're live? Ah! Hi, welcome back to This Morning!" With Holly joking: "It was going so well and then it all went horribly wrong!" Also during the cooking segment, the presenters were quick to point out that Gino had made himself at home as he had used the decorative wall hooks to hang up his jacket.
Viewers were quick to react over the scenes as one person tweeted: "Yes Gino! #ThisMorning." A different account put: "'When we are live tell me and I will go for it" "Were already live" "WERE LIVE? .... Hello.." I love Gino #ThisMorning" with laughing emojis.
While another viewer added: "#ThisMorning #gino he gets funnier the older he get!" It come as Holly and Phil had to laugh off a blunder last week where Josie Gibson, on location, was not ready for a link. The presenters had to laugh off the blunder after the segment got off to such a promising start with Philip saying viewers had the chance to win £500,000. He then said: "Josie Gibson is joining us with...." and then added: "They're not ready yet" as things began to fall apart behind the scenes.
