Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were delighted as they sat down with Sir David Jason on the latest edition of This Morning. The hosting duo were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Thursday (October 13) when they were joined live on the sofa by the Only Fools and Horses legend.

During an appearance on the Table Manners podcast hosted by Jennie and Lennie Ware, the 57-year-old Canada-born country singer recalled that one of her "most memorable dinners" was with the 68-year-old talk show icon. It was a surprising start to ITV This Morning today (September 26) as presenter Alison Hammond had her script torn up and discovered all the surprises would actually be directed towards her instead. Hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield opened the show by heading live to Alison, 47, in Birmingham but, as she began to explain she was there to surprise an "On Your Doorstep" contestant named "Alison", the tables were unexpectedly turned.
