Alison Hammond has revealed she is part Scottish after embarking on a road trip to discover her family history for an ITV show which aired last night.
The This Morning presenter was joined by Good Morning Britain's Kate Kate Garraway and they used a mix of DNA and genealogy, meeting living family members they never knew existed.
During their journey it was revealed that Alison's great-great-grandfather was a campaigner for human rights who ended up winning a case at the Houses of Parliament.
Alison said: "There's so much more to the story, so many more cliffhangers that happened and so many problems along the way."
She also found out that she has 16% Scottish heritage.
Kate's story just as interesting as she discovered that she also had a Jamaican connection and she is even related to Paddington Bear.
