This 'Marvel' Actor Is Returning for Disney+'s 'Wonder Man'

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Christophe Honoré’s “Winter Boy,” which is having its international world premiere in competition at the San Sebastian Film Festival on Sept. 19, has been sold to major territories by Pyramide. “Winter Boy” had its North American premiere at Toronto. Described as Honoré’s most autobiographical film to date, “Winter Boy” stars rising French actor Paul Kircher as a teenager struggling to cope with the death of his father. The movie also stars Juliette Binoche and Vincent Lacoste. Pyramide International, whose sales team is headed by Agathe Mauruc, has closed deals for the film with Palace (Australia, New Zealand), Axia (Canada), Brazil (Pandora), Vercine (Spain), Salzgeber (Germany, Austria), Adok (Switzerland), Athena (Benelux) and Taiwan (Hooray Films). Several other deals are in negotiations.

Naman Ramachandran Jason Howden, the writer and director behind 2015 cult horror hit “Deathgasm,” is returning for “Deathgasm 2.” The sequel, which is produced by Raven Banner Entertainment, is set to start shooting in New Zealand next year. Howden, who also wrote and directed “Guns Akimbo” starring Daniel Radcliffe and Samara Weaving, will write and direct. He has also already been in talks with the original cast – Milo Cawthorne, James Blake and Kimberley Crossman – about returning. “Deathgasm,” which debuted at SXSW and went onto win a slew of horror awards including the Palm D’Gore at Knoxville Horror Film Festival, tells the story of two high-school metal-heads, Brodie (played by Cawthorne) and Zakk (Blake), who form a band called Deathgasm. One day, while delving into some dark magic to escape their mundane lives, the duo unwittingly summon an evil entity called The Blind One.

Directed by Mary Harron, the film focuses on legendary surrealist artist Salvador Dalí during the final years of his life, with a focus on his tempestous relationship with his wife and muse Gala (Barbara Sukowa). Speaking about his process of playing the dying artist, Kingsley revealed that acting in the film and portraying Dalí’s life was a full-bodied process.

Marvel has officially confirmed the cast for upcoming film Thunderbolts, featuring Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan.Pugh will reprise her role of Yelena Belova, who debuted in Black Widow and was last seen in Disney+ series Hawkeye. After fighting the Avengers several times, Wonder Man ultimately joined their ranks. Kingsley returning as Slattery lends credence to reports that the show is intended to be a Hollywood satire, as it has been established that Slattery is a failed actor and Wonder Man has been an actor and a stuntman in the comics. Exactly how Kingsley would factor into the plot of the series and how many episodes he would appear in is being kept under wraps, but sources say he will play a major role.
