Under the deal, U.S.-based customers with Fire TV and Amazon Echo Show devices can now access local breaking news coverage and original content on the free, ad-supported TV (FAST) channels of NBCU’s 15 NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations in top markets The agreement builds on NBCU’s existing deals to distribute Peacock on Fire TV, as well as Today All Day and Dateline 24/7 FAST channels. In addition, NBCU network apps including NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Syfy, USA, Universal Kids, MSNBC, NBC News, CNBC, NBC Sports and Telemundo are available on Fire TV.

The previously announced partnership between Delta and Paramount+ will see the streaming service behind shows like “1923” and “Star Trek: Picard” available to Delta SkyMiles members starting later this summer, the companies announced Thursday. Paramount+ will be available to SkyMiles members on a trial basis through what the airline is calling Delta Sync Exclusives.

Yellowstone” Season 5 will be available to stream on Peacock, the streamer announced Tuesday. Season 5 of “Yellowstone” spotlights the Dutton family as they fight “to defend their ranch and way of life.” When their family’s secrets begin to strain the family, political hopes and outside alliances threaten their fate. “Yellowstone” is led by Kevin Coster and also stars Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser and Kelsey Asbille.   The second half of “Yellowstone” Season 5 is set to launch this November on the Paramount Network, with this season being its final. While the original series is coming to an end, an untitled “Yellowstone” sequel series has been ordered.

Notably, the content announcements at Roku’s 2023 NewFronts presentation — coming on Day One of the WGA writers strike — were unscripted/reality formats. Also at the event in New York Tuesday, the streaming platform unveiled a suite of new ad solutions, including sponsorships for its popular Roku City screensaver. The company announced that it has renewed reality competition series “The Great American Baking Show” for Season 2. The news came ahead of the premiere Friday, May 5, of the new six-episode run of the show featuring Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Ellie Kemper and Zach Cherry (pictured above, left) on the Roku Channel. “The Great American Baking Show,” produced by Love Productions USA, ran for five seasons on ABC as a spinoff of original hit “The Great British Baking Show” before it was picked up last year by Roku. The streaming company previously acquired U.S. rights to dozens of episodes in the “Great Baking Show” franchise for a FAST channel. Roku will also bring back the holiday special of “The Great American Baking Show,” which will feature all-new celebrity bakers and debut this upcoming holiday season.

Buzzy Cohen, the champion best known by his nickname “Mr. Personality,” which was handed down by late host Alex Trebek, revealed that his famous nine-day winning streak actually only took place over the course of two days.The music executive told Insider that “Jeopardy!” tapes five shows — a week’s worth — in a single day with breaks long enough to allow winners to change outfits between tapings.Cohen, who took home over $164,600 after playing 10 games in 2016, said the process was “exhausting.”“That is certainly something that I think people are surprised by,” he said. “It really makes the fact that people can go on these long runs even more impressive because it’s endurance as well as mental and physical stamina.”The secret is just one of five Cohen shared with the outlet and plans to expose in his new podcast, “This Is Jeopardy! The Story of America’s Favorite Quiz Show,” a Sony production that was launched Wednesday.Cohen — who returned to win the 2017 Tournament of Champions for the $250,000 jackpot before guest-hosting the program four years later in the wake of Trebek’s death — said the show explores how “Jeopardy!” became an American institution and has enjoyed 59 years of success.The podcast aims to take fans behind the scenes, including from Cohen’s own experience playing on and hosting the program.When he guest-hosted the Tournament of Champions in 2021, Cohen was surprised to find how busy the host is despite not getting much airtime.“What’s kind of surprising is how little you’re maybe on-screen, but you are reading the clue, calling a contestant, making a ruling, asking them to select,” Cohen told the outlet.

NBC Sports’ Matthew Berry is joining the network’s 149th Kentucky Derby coverage in the segment “Handicapping 101 with Matthew Berry,” which will air during the “Derby Day Show” on May 6 at 12 p.m. on NBC and Peacock. His coverage of the Derby will be a big shift from his usual NFL season analysis and commentating. Leading up to the race, Berry will also host a special edition of “Fantasy Football Hour” via Peacock on May 4. He will be hosting live from the Derby’s home of Churchill Downs, and will joined by Jay Croucher, Connor Rogers and special guest Drew Dinsick. “Being at the Kentucky Derby is a sports bucket list moment for me as a long-time fan and viewer of the race,” Berry said.

Cruel Summer” and “Grown-ish” return to Freeform as part of their summer roster along with a brand-new animated comedy series “Praise Petey,” the network announced Monday. “Cruel Summer” returns with Season 2 and “Grown-ish” will be kicking off its sixth and final season with a two-part release.   The first half of “Grown-ish” Season 6 premieres June 28 and features Justine Skye and Tara Raani as returning series regulars. This season follows Annika (Skye), a sharp and funny aspiring media star who picks a college that best fits her personal brand. “Raani plays Zaara a first-generation queer Muslim American whose fearlessness inspires Junior as his best friend and go-to shoulder to lean on,” says the official show synopsis.
