This trend is continuing into 2022, with demand for property soaring by 49% and house prices even higher than what they were last year.

All across Greater Manchester the average house price has risen over the last year, with Manchester being named by Zoopla as the UK city with the second largest price growth in the last year.
Here we look at which of the region's 10 boroughs have had the biggest house price growths since 2021, and what the average house price now is in each area.
According to Zoopla, this data from their House Price Index is the most accurate and up-to-date.
In January 2021, the average house price in Bolton was recorded at £139,000.
As of this month, it has jumped to £151,800 - an annual rise of 9.2%.

This has now risen by 7.2%, the lowest yearly increase in Greater Manchester's boroughs, with the current price standing at £185,700 in January 2022.
