Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Jared Leto is set to star in and produce a biopic of Karl Lagerfeld, the iconic fashion designer whose career spanned over 50 years. Lagerfeld, who died in Feb. 2019, is best known for his powerful role as artistic director of Chanel. First reported by WWD, a sister publication to Variety, the project has already been endorsed by Karl Lagerfeld fashion house. The Oscar-winning actor will play the lead role, as well as produce the movie with Emma Ludbrook, through their production vehicle Paradox. The project is still in early stages. A filmmaker is not yet attached to direct.

James Franco catches heat in the upcoming Johnny Depp-Amber Heard biopic, “Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial.”The 43-year-old “Pineapple Express” frontman is the superstar object of ire between 2022’s most infamous exes in the forthcoming film, premiering Friday on streaming service Tubi. “Another one with James Franco?” asks an annoyed Depp, portrayed by “Days of Our Lives” actor Mark Hapka, reading a script over Heard’s shoulder in a trailer for the flick. Heard, played by actress Megan Davis, 33, responds, “Are you jealous of him, too?”The production comes just four months after the formerly wed couple’s highly-publicized $50 million defamation suit. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star accused Heard — whom he met on the set of “The Rum Diary” in 2011, married in February 2015 and divorced in 2017 — of defaming him as an abuser in a 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post. Heard countersued Depp for $100 million for defamation, citing comments his lawyers made about her domestic violence allegations. During a staggering six weeks of testimony, Heard alleged that Depp kicked her in the back during a May 2014 flight from Boston to Los Angeles, owing to his suspicions that she was “secretly having a thing” with Franco. “He hated James Franco,” she explained while on the stand.

The affair between King Charles and Camilla Queen Consort has been mentioned in a new trailer for Netflix show, The Crown.The latest instalment of the smash-hit series about the royal family, is set in the nineties, at the time when the late Princess Diana and the now-King's marriage ended in a messy divorce. Season five of The Crown, which is released on 9 November, sees Elizabeth Debicki take on the role of the late princess and Dominic West playing the part of Charles.The trailer begins with a close up shot of Elizabeth as Diana, whilst the original statement that was released by Buckingham Palace, when the couple split in 1992, could be heard.They didn't officially divorce until 1996.

Better Call Saul star Rhea Seehorn is set to lead Vince Gilligan’s new TV series.The unnamed project will air on Apple TV+ and has been ordered for two seasons with Seahorn playing the lead, Deadline reports.Plot details remain under wraps, but the publication has described the forthcoming project as a “blended, grounded genre drama”. It was also compared to The Twilight Zone, and is said to be “set in our world while putting a tweak on it, bending reality and focusing on people and exploring the human condition in an unexpected, surprising way”.Seehorn played attorney Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul from 2015 to 2022, and she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her performance.“After 15 years, I figured it was time to take a break from writing antiheroes… and who’s more heroic than the brilliant Rhea Seehorn? It’s long past time she had her own show, and I feel lucky to get to work on it with her,” said Gilligan in a statement about the new project.“And what nice symmetry to be reunited with Zack Van Amburg, Jamie Erlicht and Chris Parnell! It’s only been a week since Prince William took on his new title of the Duke or Cornwall following the Queen’s death, and the royal has already taken charge of the role. Prince William, 40, became the 25th Duke of Cornwall, a title previously given to his father the former Prince Charles, after the Queen died on Thursday 8 September.
