‘This Fool’: Laura Patalano & Julia Vera Join Chris Estrada’s Hulu Comedy Series

Typically, when we discuss TV show revivals, such as the most recent “Dexter” return, the show is something that has a devoted fanbase and ran for at least four or five seasons. Well, then you look at “Party Down,” which is getting a revival, more than a decade after its final episode, and it only has two seasons (20 episodes total).

Starz has set a March premiere date for Shining Vale, starring Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear and Mira Sorvino. The genre-bending horror comedy series will debut Sunday, March 6 at 10 PM across all Starz platforms in the U.S. and Canada, and will air day and date internationally on StarzPlay across Europe, Latin America and Japan.

A new romantic comedy series is coming to Netflix called Christmas Flow.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterNetflix has ordered the hybrid comedy series “Saturday Morning All Star Hits” from Kyle Mooney and Ben Jones.The series will feature a combination of adult animated segments as well as live-action. It is described as a celebration of all that is 80s and 90s television.

There seems to be a bit of a boom—well, perhaps more like a pop—of alternative comedy series hitting streaming services and networks over the past several years.

Moynihan will serve as showrunner, with both also executive producing.

Danielle Turchiano Senior Features Editor, TVNetflix and Mohammed “Mo” Amer are expanding their partnership through a new stand-up special and scripted comedy series, Variety has learned exclusively.“Ramy’s” Ramy Youssef co-created the scripted series with Amer. A24 is producing both projects.First up is the new special, titled “Mo Amer: Mohammed in Texas,” which will premiere Nov.

Jon Hamm is to voice a misanthropic detective in a new animated comedy series for Fox.

Humor is subjective. While Hollywood studios would likely greatly abuse the formula for guaranteed laughs, the truth is that telling jokes and making people laugh is something that can’t really be nailed down to one obvious style.
