EXCLUSIVE: Amazon Prime Video has ordered a dark comedy workplace thriller series starring Christoph Waltz.

The series is based on Bentley Little’s 2015 novel of the same name.“The Consultant” follows a sinister relationship between boss and employee and looking at how far workers will go to get ahead and survive.Tony Basgallop serves as creator and showrunner, and executive produces alongside Waltz, director Matt Shakman, Steve Stark and Andrew Mittman.

It’s a blast from the past as Netflix has given a 10-episode series order to Blockbuster, a single-camera workplace comedy starring Randall Park, which is set in the last remaining Blockbuster video store.

Typically, when we discuss TV show revivals, such as the most recent “Dexter” return, the show is something that has a devoted fanbase and ran for at least four or five seasons. Well, then you look at “Party Down,” which is getting a revival, more than a decade after its final episode, and it only has two seasons (20 episodes total).

Starz has set a March premiere date for Shining Vale, starring Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear and Mira Sorvino. The genre-bending horror comedy series will debut Sunday, March 6 at 10 PM across all Starz platforms in the U.S. and Canada, and will air day and date internationally on StarzPlay across Europe, Latin America and Japan.
