Walking through the quiet streets of Farnworth there was growing frustration amongst voters, with many refusing to see hope for the future.

With many in the local area voicing their frustration about the investment in the area, they labelled the town 'forgotten'. John Townsend, 54, added: "Bolton town centre has been run down for decades, it has got no money spent in it.
"All the surrounding areas have been forgotten, all the money has been pumped into Manchester."
"The working man has been taxed to the hill lately," he continued: "we can’t afford to live because of that."
Deborah Saunders, 67, also went onto add: "I have lived in the south, and compared to the North-West there is a huge difference in the quality of services that are available."
“The Greater Manchester area just seems run down," she continued: "There needs to be a huge improvement.”
Katie Coyle, 52, was another who spoke about the need for investment, especially in the public: "It would be nice to see more police walking around." She continued: "I mean we are a charity shop, and the amount of money we have lost through shoplifters.
"If something goes wrong people say 'Welcome to Farmworth," she added.
