"Unfortunately, this is what we've got," Pippa says. "These are difficult times. We don't have true politicians, I don't think, like we used to. Friend, Helen, 70, labelled Starmer 'ineffectual' and a 'wet lettuce'.

Describing the PM, Helen said: "I think he's quite an honourable man, but I don't think he sees the real world for those who are struggling."
For 20-year-old student Roisin Leach, she says her views align more with the Labour party, but she's not entirely sure about Sir Keir.
She said: "While I would be voting for labour, I'm not particularly voting for Keir Starmer. I don't necessarily support him as a person. I don't think people like Keir Starmer, so they're not wanting to vote for Labour."
Those sentiments were echoed by 69-year-old Martin, who simply described Starmer as 'okay'. He said: "I think we can do with someone with more personality. Someone, I know it'll probably never happen but, from the working class."
