The Wanted's Max George says 'a night to remember' after deafening return to Manchester stage

Max George has described his return to the stage in his home city as a 'night to remember'. The singer was brought out as a special guest during JLS' show at Manchester's AO Arena on Thursday night (November 2).
The boyband and Max's band The Wanted were once pitted against each other, with JLS - Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams, JB Gill and Marvin Humes - arriving on the scene via The X Factor in 2008 before The Wanted - Max, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran and the late Tom Parker - the following year.
But while there may have been chart battles, there was no personal beef between the groups and more than a decade on, JLS decided to ask Max to appear on stage with them as they performed to a sell-out crowd on their Everybody Say JLS: The Hits Tour during a part in the show the group have billed 'DJ-LS'.

With Marvin having another career as a DJ, and Aston also dabbling in the DJ world, the pair decided to have a bit of a mid-show battle. Aston was joined by JB while Marvin teamed up with Oritse and the two duos picked out songs they thought the crowd would lap up but just not some of their own tracks but also those of other artists including Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.
However, there was a twist. For the first time during this tour, the group had two very special guests which they seamlessly surprised their adoring fans with during the D-JLS battle. First up was Hits Radio Breakfast host (and fellow X Factor alumni) Fleur East who put on her own show with a performance of her single, Sax.
