‘The Vampire Diaries’ Star Zach Roerig Arrested for DUI

Paul Wesley’s Stefan Salvatore was one of the most cherished characters in The Vampire Diaries. Unlike his elder brother Damon Salvatore, who took his own sweet time to feature in TVD fans’ good books, Stefan had our hearts from the very beginning.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder crushed their fans’ hearts after they decided to end their relationship in 2013. The actors starred together in popular teen drama series The Vampire diaries and started dating in real life after their character Elena Gilbert (Nina) and Damon Salvatore fell in love with each other on the show.

However, before she fell head over heels in love with the actor, Nina had a very strict rule about not dating her co-stars.

Even though The Vampire Diaries was loaded with various on-screen pairs that shared effortless chemistry, including Stefan and Elena, Damon and Elena, Caroline and Stefan, Bonnie and Enzo, Bonnie and Elena, Caroline and Elena, the fans never stopped swooning over Damon and Stefan’s bromance. From a love-hate relationship to an unbreakable bond, the characters came closer as the show progressed, and by the end of it, the Salvatore brothers were inseparable.

The Vampire Diaries first aired on the television in 2009 and the fans were hooked from the very first episode. And when the creators treated the fans with series’ finale episode in season 8, we weren’t ready to say goodbye. And it did not help that the last scenes, especially the last 12 minutes, were a total sob fest. It was a very heavy episode loaded with heartbreaking deaths, emotional reunions and sad goodbyes. It left the fans with a mix of happy and sad tears.

After sparking a lot of rumours, Nina Dobrev and Shaun White have made their relationship social media official. The Hollywood actress (31) and the American Olympian (33) are currently practicing social distancing together.

On Memorial Day weekend, Zach Roerig, the Vampire Diaries star, was arrested on DUI charges not long before he reportedly peed himself. TMZ was the first to report that Roerig, who portrayed Matt Donovan on Vampire Diaries, was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning around 2:30 am.

Zach Roerig has been arrested.  The 35-year-old actor, who famously starred on The Vampire Diaries as Matt Donovan, was arrested on Sunday morning in his native Ohio for allegedly driving under the influence, Montpelier police confirmed to E! News.   Per police, the probable cause for stopping Roerig was a missing front license plate. However, no further details regarding his arrest were shared at this time.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev’s The Vampire Diaries characters Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert started dating each other in season 4 after she broke up with Damon’s younger brother Stefan Salvatore (played by Paul Wesley). From the very begging of their on-screen romance, Ian and Nina enjoyed the support of their passionate fans who were just crazy about Damon and Elena’s jaw-dropping chemistry.

Now that we have seen the show, we can’t imagine The Vampire Diaries without Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. The actors were pure magic as Elena and Damon. They shared flawless chemistry and defined romance for us for years. It is impossible to imagine any other actor playing those parts in the teen drama series. While they did end up doing a remarkable job, both Ian and Nina nearly lost the part after blowing their first auditions.

Nina Dobrev is currently practicing social distancing to avoid contracting the deadly coronavirus, and just like many people across the world, she is missing her social life and her friends. The 31-year-old recently took to her Instagram story and shared that she is missing her The Vampire Diaries co-star Paul Wesley.
